赴英前必须要学的日常用语

　　今天杭州新航道为大家整理了赴英前必须要学的日常用语，供大家参考学习。
1、“wait on”
　　介词用错很正常，到了英国被白眼几次就ok了，大量的去记介词怎么用很必要，日常生活的积累也必不可少。
　　英国人吐槽：有次我读了一个朋友就在车站等车的消息“waiting on a train”，他所表达的意思是火车一直没到站，而我却以为朋友在车上。
　　英式表达：Wait on = wait for. Wait for train, not wait on a train.
　　2、“It is what it is”
　　最简单就是说It happens
　　英国人吐槽：“It is what it is.(这就是事实。)” 同情同情我们吧!
　　英式表达：不如说：That’s just what’s happened. That’s just how it’s turned out.
　　Eg：We tried everything to make the situation easier, but that’s just how it’s turned out.
　　3、 “Touch base”
　　本人吐槽:touch base是什么东西呢？
　　英式表达： Touch Base = 意思不大清楚，get in touch/get in contact/make contact with s.o 都更好点。
　　4、“physicality”
　　本人吐槽：这是一个GRE词汇么？
　　英式表达： Physicality是泛指物质的physical state/condition. Use “physical “state instead!
　　5、 “Transportation”
　　本人吐槽：剑桥青少上没见过tranportation
　　英式表达：就说transport就可以。
　　6、“turn”
　　英国人吐槽：难道没人庆祝生日(celebrate a birthday)了吗?我们一定都要“turn”12岁或者21岁或者40岁吗?连爱丁堡公爵过生日也统统说成上个月他“turning”90岁。这是什么时候开始的?我喜欢这个表达本身，但它似乎取代掉□□所有谈论生日的说法了。
　　英式表达：He’s turning 23已经变成了最常用的说法，但也可以说：it’s his 23rd birthday/he’ll be 23。
　　7、“I’m good”
　　英国人吐槽：用“I’m good(我很好)”替代“I’m well”，刚刚开始接受了。
　　英式表达：败了!I’m good就I’m good吧!
　　8、“Take-out”
　　英国人吐槽：英国人完全不会说takeout(外卖)，你要是在这儿的话，一定要入乡随俗哈!
　　英式表达：Takeaway!可是我经常会看到takeout，所以我觉得take-out也可以把。
　　9、“ridiculosity ”
　　英国人吐槽：Ridiculosity是什么词儿啊?我喜欢美式英语，不过我怀疑甚至一些美国人也是虚情假意地在用它们，这份声明简直是荒谬(ridiculosity)。
　　英式表达：该是“ridiculous”!
　　eg: That statement was the height of ridiculousness/that statement was ridiculous!
　　10、“A half hour”
　　英国人吐槽：“a half hour(半小时)”，真让人抓狂!
　　英式表达：该是“half an hour”!
　　eg: He’ll be here in half an hour is better than he’ll be here in a half hour.
　　11、“heads up”
　　英国人吐槽：在商业会议上说：Lets do a “heads up(提醒)” on this issue.我至今还不知道是什么意思。
　　英式表达：这个意思是提前告诉个人某消息，为了让他们更好做准备。比较正式的说法是I’ll let you know beforehand/ I’ll inform you in advance.
　　12、“Train station”
　　英国人吐槽：Train station(火车站)，每次听到它，我就很恼火。谁开始用这个词的?他们没有被罚吗?
　　英式表达：railway station比较地道，但是我个人觉得train station 这个说法已经被流行化了，甭太较真了!
　　13、 “alphabetize it”
　　英国人吐槽：把一张表按照字母顺序排列就是去“alphabetize it”——非常不爽!
　　英式表达：英国人都说: I’ll put this list in alphabetical order.
　　不是语法错误，只是习惯这么用。
　　14、“my bad”
　　英国人吐槽：其实my bad也没事么不好，只是身为天朝大国的我们出去说话当然要“高大上”一些。
　　英式表达：文质彬彬的人都该说: I’m sorry that was my fault/it was my fault/my mistake.
　　eg：I thought this was the place but I got totally mixed up. My mistake.
　　15、“burglarize”
　　名词burglary
　　英国人吐槽：作为一名生活在新奥尔良的侨民，我有很长一串清单，但是“burglarize(破门盗窃)”是我目前最不喜欢的词。
　　英式表达：英国用burgle!
　　eg：The burglar burgled the house
